How to be released into Prophecy.docx

How to be released into Prophecy !

One of the main reasons the Lord gives prophecy and revelation to His Church and the world whether through dreams, visions, the Word of God, a prophetic word, understanding etc... is to cut through a person’s limited or deceived understanding of situations. For the Lord says:

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:9)

There are two scriptures the Lord needs to cut through in order to bring people into the dimension of God and His Kingdom:

“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"  (Jeremiah 17:9)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5)

Dream (given to prophetess for this teaching)

In this dream there was a woman who was holding a machine gun, she was wearing a blue trouser suit and she had long brownish red hair. She was walking through a main street like the ones you would see in the middle of a big city centre. The many people in this street were looking at her. She was executing people with her gun as she was walking along the street.

I could see her as she was passing by, I knew that I needed to hide in order to protect myself from this woman. As she was walking along the main street, she was heading towards a road situated to the left of the street she was on. In my understanding I reasoned that in order protect myself from her, I should go and hide in a large empty building that was located to the right and that I would be safe there as it was in the opposite direction to where she was heading.

After a short while and to my great surprise, the woman entered the building I was hiding in, and was pointing her gun with the aim of killing someone. I knew I was in danger, so I was continuously going around the building trying to hide from her. If I remember correctly, I must have been the only person in this building.

She got to where I was, and I was at the final point of danger, knowing she could just kill me. Suddenly a team of armed forces appeared all aiming their machine guns at her. One of the men aimed his gun at her and said something to her to which she had to surrender to. Then I knew I was safe.

The woman in the blue tailored trouser suit represents "understanding" given to the world by the enemy. This understanding is presented to the world as being respectful, conservative and conformative (blue tailored suit).

The many people in the big city looking at this woman are the people of the world who look to this understanding. The machine gun represents death that comes with this understanding, and the execution of the people are the victims of those who look to her.

I represent the Christian with limited and superficial understanding of the ways of the enemy in the world, thinking that I am safe with the knowledge I possess. The ability of the woman ("understanding") to enter the building (safety in my reasoning) shows that an invisible element of deception can elude even the Christian in their understanding, even to the point of death. The team of armed forces and the word spoken by them causing "understanding" to surrender are the servants of God (either angels or prophets) that speak prophetic truth in order to protect and reveal hidden truth.

Interpretation of this dream can be applied to the world, to the Church, and to the prophetic.

For members of the body of Christ can also be convinced of their understanding thinking they are safe there, but there is the invisible element of deception that can elude people even in their reasonable or "spiritual“ understanding. For this very reason, the more powerful and omniscient element of prophecy and revelation as given by the Holy Spirit of God is vital in order to supersede any deception for the very purpose of protecting both the world and God's people and the plans He has for them and allowing them to come into advanced knowledge of God and His Kingdom.

This is fundamental understanding for anyone in order to understand and be released into the prophetic dimension of God. Therefore it is important for the Church to seek God and ask for increased prophecy, revelation and wisdom from the Holy Spirit.

"....But I would rather have you prophecy"  (1 Cor. 14:5)

Love will release you into prophecy

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love!  (1 Jn 4:8)

When you see with Gods heart, you will know Gods will for each situation.  The knowledge and understanding of this releases the heart of God in your life.  This is also a catalyst for release of prophecy as God draws upon the love and wisdom He has put in your heart, and communicates this as prophesy and the burden of the Lord.

It should also be understood that Love is greater (more important than prophecy), however, if a Christian is truly obeying God then the fruit of love will be to eagerly desire (be zealous for) prophecy!  A Christian who says they love God but is not zealous for prophecy is not walking according to the Word of God !

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.”  (1 Cor 13:1-3)

There are those who can prophesy, and God will use them, who do not walk in love: (Mat7:21-23, Mt  25:31-46) , if God blesses the disobedient church, how much more those who obey !

Scripture will release you into prophecy

This is one of the main keys to the whole teaching, if applied correctly this shall help the believer to focus on the kingdom, prioritizing the things of the kingdom before anything else, so that the plans of the kingdom are worked out in a consistent way, causing the believer to naturally understand the kingdom. This causes the believer to see more clearly, and be able to understand the heart of God for all things, creating a fruitful life, and also causes them released into more prophetic understanding.

Without this knowledge – any Christian, however gifted, is poor, wretched, miserable and blind, having a form of godliness but denying the true power which is understood in three words: Love (the Heart of God) Truth (The commands of Christ, whether understood through the Word or the Rhema) and Power (The ability to walk in the fullness of the Kingdom, showing mercy to the World through intercession, prophecy and the Love of Christ).

“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”  (Joshua 1:8)

To be released into prophecy effectively, you need direct communication with the Lord. One way to receive or learn direct communication is by asking God to bring scripture to remembrance. Through prayer and intercession you can ask the Lord to give you the correct scripture for each situation.

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  (John 14:26)

If you pray to God specifically about a situation and ask God persistently in prayer, also claiming the answer to your prayer, God can draw upon your scriptural knowledge and give you the answer to your prayer.

Through using this tactic often (the righteous learn by constant use Heb 5:14, the one who has shall be given more - Mark 4:25) you’ll learn to hear God more clearly and more often and this can release you more fully into prophecy as you seek for more from the Holy Spirit.

As you grow strong in this, you can then ask the Lord to give you word for word in each situation. The more knowledge of scripture you have, the more you give the Holy Spirit to draw on. God will bring to remembrance all things He has spoken to you through the Holy Spirit. That’s why it is important to have good scriptural knowledge store, so that the Lord can work from this.

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.  (James 1:5)

"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.  (John 16:12-15)

Its important to walk in not just the knowledge of, but revelation (you need to seek God for this) of what scripture teaches (Eph 1:17-19), in this way the heart of the Christian become like Gods naturally.

This is just one tactic, but used often will result in being released into prophecy very quickly.

Warnings against error

The Lord gave me this prophecy: To start a teaching and Training ministry, and teach from the Words and commandments of Christ” (Prioritizing the Gospels – NOT the epistles, especially the teachings of Paul, which the church believes it is their duty to distort at every point !) “Woe to My People” says the Lord.

The teachings of Christ equip you to interpret the scriptures correctly – especially the words of Christ to the Pharisees !  Without the wisdom of Christ – you cannot (except for the mercy of God) interpret the Apostle Pauls letters correctly, if you try to understand Paul from your own reasoning – you will have something that is in contradiction to the words of Paul, and is therefore in contradiction to God.

“Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.’ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?”

Mat 23:16,17

Guidelines for memorizing scripture

So, to memorize scripture, here are some guidelines:

1>    Write a table, with a column, and write the scripture verse in the column, then in the other column, write what that scripture verse means, do this for the whole book of Matthew or Luke, or John or Mark, as the Gospels is where the power is, example:

Mat: 7:7

Ask and You shall receive

Mat 6:33

Don’t worry about tomorrow

2>    Listen to the Gospels regularly, a mp3 version is available here: Audio Bible

3>    Ask God questions about every key scripture you have written, ask God to show you if there is anything you have misunderstood, or if you are not walking in obedience to Jesus Teachings. When asking, be patient for the answers, don’t expect God to always speak to you there and then, this is a great mistake with many Christians !  But seek God to help you to hear instantly (many Christians have learned to hear instantly from God – this is not unattainable)

4>    Pray for Meekness, to meekly receive the Word of God:

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.  (James 1:21)

5>    Pray Psalm 139:24,25 – ask God to show you if there is any wicked way in you etc…..

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;

And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.  (Psalm 139:24,25)

6>    Claim understanding (Claiming is of God and is VERY powerful ! – this is another teaching)

Responsibility to seek and enquire of the Lord !

One of the key reasons Christians do not receive prophecy is insecurity – they are afraid of being deceived. However they are required by God to seek for the wisdom to know who is from God and who is not, if they do not walk in this then God holds them fully accountable for rejecting true prophecy, for they did not take the time to seek for the wisdom that was needed to test if something is of the Lord or not.

Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything.  (1 Thes 5:19-21)

This is because they (those who do not enquire of the Lord for understanding) do not truly love God with everything (if they loved God with everything they would obey Jesus commands, which means to seek God diligently)

If you love Me, keep My commandments.  (John 14:15)

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.  (John 15:10)

When you become born-again your accountability level becomes very very high, more so, because you have the whole counsel of God contained within Bible, something which the early Christians were never privileged to have, neither has any generation had until this time !

It must be understood that the Fear of the Lord is not an option for believers, but rather a necessity, for without the fear of the Lord there is nothing, neither can there be anything, for the fear of the Lord is what the church must walk in:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge”  (Proverbs 1:7)

It is important to understand the differences between those who are of God, and those who are not of God.

Testing true prophets from false:

Understanding motives of False Prophets

The false prophet or false teacher falls into two categories:

The unsaved who is totally deceived and the saved who is also deceived because:

1.            they are not seeking God

2.            heretical teachings, often through ‘fine sounding’ arguments

3.            because of selfish ambition and pride

There is also the servant of God who God has given the calling of prophecy, but they are still learning to hear from God and often make mistakes, these should be instructed and corrected as the Lord leads.

The false prophet will not seek to glorify God, but they will seek to glorify themselves.

Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them  (Galatians 4:17)

They will also seek to “glorify” God in such a way that it is not true glory, but is, rather a show of false humility and nobleness.  The weak Christian will see this as a good thing, but it is the means by which many believers will be deceived and ultimately lose their salvation (right-standing).

I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.  (Colossians 2:4)

The false prophet seeks honor from people and not from God. They will seek to tell the people what they believe the people want to hear.

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.  (2 Timothy 4:3)

The false prophet does not fear God, they do not test their motives, rather than prioritize the eternal, they look to the rewards of this life.

The false prophet is often insecure and like many people needs to feel as though they are ‘wanted’ and ‘accepted’, which is often a root cause of insecurity. Therefore the false prophet will feed off the praise of the people, for example “God is with you !”, “Gods favor is on you!”, “You preach a good sermon!” etc.

Jesus warned that those who are spoken well of all the time and have praise from people are like the false prophets of old.

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.  (Luke 6:26)

The false prophets motives are usually that of pride, ego, ambition, power and control.

Testing true prophets from false:

Understanding motives of True Prophets

The true prophet sees through the eyes and heart of God, and speaks the true heart of God.  They will seek for Gods heart for the church, for the Lords will to be done, for righteousness, holiness, love, mercy, peace, instruction, admonishment, warning, rebuke, correction, conviction and also judgment. The intent of the true prophets ministry is to destroy everything that prevents Gods will being done on the earth, and everything that is not for the sake of the Kingdom.

The prophet is a fellow servant of the same promises as every believer.  The prophet also has unique blessings and promises only for the prophet, example:

“Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm."  (Chronicles 16:22)

Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.  (Amos 3:7)

“Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”  (2 Chronicles 20:20)

The prophet is in direct communication with God and hears clearly from God, if you rebuke a true prophet, your rebuking Jesus, and only causing harm to yourself and to your walk with God.  This is why we must be careful to test with humility and maturity and never with pride.

But you must never be afraid to rebuke the false prophet.  This is why Christians should seek God to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to seek diligently, to know who is sent from God and who isn’t.  If the Christian hasn’t sought the Lord for this and God sends a prophet to them and they reject that prophet, they are accountable to God for not listening to the prophet, because they did not prepare as the Bible instructed them to.

The Lord will often send prophets to those who are not ready or prepared to ‘fulfill’ all righteousness, to show that God is just and blameless and to reveal the hearts of those who say they love God.

This also releases the Lord to bring judgment to His people, for when they oppose the Holy Spirit, then God is justified in bringing correction, judgment, retribution and even vengeance, according to what is fitting for the situation and the individual.

Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.  (Matthew 23:24)

Many Christians fail to understand the intent and reasons for why the prophet is sharing because they don’t see through Gods eyes, and also fail to see what God is trying to accomplish at that time, that God works out His plans according to a much greater and higher understanding and plan. Christians fail to see that it is not only about being brought into obedience, but it is also what God seeks to work through them to bless others and save people from an eternity in the lake of fire.

Christians also need to understand that the prophet is under command of God to speak, to prophecy. If the prophet doesn’t obey God, God holds them to account.

At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.  (Ezekiel 3:16-18)

The lion has roared, who will not fear? The Sovereign LORD has spoken— who can but prophesy?  (Amos 3:8)

Therefore if the Christian is walking in Gods love, they should let the prophet speak, and seek God for the interpretation of the prophecy.

It is not the prophets duty to interpret the message of God unless they have the interpretation, but it is the duty of the Christian to take things to the Lord in prayer.

Rejecting prophecy

Reasons for not receiving prophecy from the Lord:

There should never be any reasons for rejecting prophecy from the Lord, it is interesting that the very reasons the world uses for rejecting the Gospel are the same reasons Christians use for rejecting prophecy, this is another teaching, but here are some examples why Christians reject prophecy:

Church rejects prophecy

World rejects Gospel

·         “There are many false prophets, why should I listen to you !?”

·         “There are many religions, why should I listen to yours !?”

·         “My walk with God is ok, I don’t need any instruction from the Lord”

·         “I’m a good person, I don’t need God”

·         “God speaks to me, I don’t need anyone else to prophesy !”

·         “I go to church, I’m religious, I don’t need to be born-again”

·         “There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, therefore a prophecy cannot be a means of rebuke or warning”

·         “God is a God of love, therefore He won’t send anyone to Hell”

·         “Why doesn’t God speak plainly to me ?”

·         “I ask God to show me if He’s real, and I’m still waiting for the answer”

·         “If you prophesy to me, you are required to give the interpretation of the prophecy”

·         “If there is a God, show me a miracle”

·         “Your not submitted to leadership, therefore I don’t need to listen to you”

·         “What church do you go to ?”

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.  (Hebrews 12:25-27)

And many more excuses like this, those who reject prophecy stop Gods plan for saving people from hell, and as a result are sending people to hell.

He who is slothful in his work Is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.  (Proverbs 18:9)

They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' (Mat 25:44,45)

Whilst we should always test prophecy, and never be foolish to listen to all prophets, we should seek God with fear and trembling of ever rejecting true prophecy.  We should seek God to never despise prophets or prophecy, but to have confidence to reject those who are not of God, without being too confident that we reject those sent from the Lord.

God prophesies to equip His people so they can save others from an eternity in the lake of fire !  Those who reject prophecy don’t seem to realize this, Jesus warned about rejecting the things of the Lord, and yet many teachers are proud when they teach others not to listen to prophets!

“Assuredly I say to you, there will come a time when those who kill you (or the work of the Lord) will believe they are offering a service to God”

Some leaders believe they are walking in obedience to the Lord by rejecting prophets sent from God !

The dream by Eva T Nilssen on September 19, 2005

“This was a prophetic dream – thus it may seem bloody, it was symbolic and I had great peace waking up.  This was the dream (the vision):

There was a woman. She was stabbed to death with a knife by FIVE stabs in her  back.

The FIVE stabbings were made very clear.  Then she had been hidden and covered up in an APRON.

Then this happened:  I was in a situation where I was about to sit down in a chair where an apron was hanging on the back of the seat.  I accidently happened to touch the apron in a way that caused the killed woman to fall out from the apron and thus the murder was uncovered and the hunting for the killer(s) began.  Then I woke up and started praying immediately.

THIS is what The Lord showed me:

The woman represents the bride. (2nd John verse 1). The FIVE stabbings performed on her represent the spiritual killing of the FIVE FOLD MINISTRY GIFTS given by GOD to HIS Church. The true apostle, prophet, teacher, shepherd and evangelist born of The Holy Spirit (Ephes.4;11-13)  to equip each saint for The Lord’s calling in this late hour.

The APRON covering the woman's dead body represent the religious and carnal self-promoted disguise, trying to cover up their killing in order to promote their own agendas instead of God’s.

The person coming to sit in the chair resulting in uncovering this sin of spiritual murder speaks clearly about the fact that those leaders are about to be uncovered and replaced by the ones who are after God’s own heart leading to the cleansing and pruning of His bride so that more souls will be won before The Lord’s  early coming.

Let me add that due to “the dead body” – there has become many vultures also…”

The problem is the church doesn’t want the things of God when it means they have to change their lives in a radical way, that means they have to give up their own understanding and be brought into alignment with Gods Word – the way God interprets it, and obedience to all of Jesus commands.  Amen.

Testing Prophecy

God can bring you into a place of revelation, insight and peace about how to test prophecy.  This will result in the Christian being secure in their own walk with the Lord about testing prophecy.

The believer should, on a daily basis, cast all their cares onto the Lord, and tell God all their anxieties, worries, problems, questions, and let God answer.

There is much wisdom in this song:

“O, what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear

All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer”

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.  (1 Pet 5:6,7)

The true believer will always be open to the Lord to instruct them, teach them, rebuke them and bless them.  Without true flexibility and teachability you can never truly grow as the Lord wants for you to.

Test 1: Is the prophecy scriptural?

Does it line up with scripture? If it doesn’t, is your interpretation of scripture correct?  If it is true prophecy, and the Christian uses scripture to refute it, then this teaching and warning from Jesus must be understood.

“If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”  (Matthew 6:23)

Also if you are using scripture to reject prophecy, have you understood the intent and the heart of scripture, or have you simply read according to the letter:

“for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”  (2 Cor 3:6)

Jesus rebuked many of the Pharisees who quoted from the Word of God, but they quoted out of context.

If the prophecy is not scriptural (according to the right interpretation of scripture) it should be rejected.

Test 2: Prayer

Communication with the Lord is essential in testing prophecy.  Things to ask God in prayer:

Is this person speaking from their own heart or are they truly listening to the Lord ?

Are they walking in their own ambitions, or are they truly seeking the heart of God ?

When praying you must ask yourself, are you making quality time for prayer, do you ask God to help you to listen to the answer?

You must ask God to overrule you for any reason if you are rejecting true prophecy.

You must ask God for boldness to reject anything that is not from God, but you must fear God to reject a true prophet.

Test 3: Peace

Do you have peace ?  This is one of the greatest reasons for Christians rejecting prophecy.  Many believers don’t want to receive some prophecies, so this will naturally cause them to be conflicted which will result in them not having the peace they should have, and they get deceived.

Then say they don’t have peace, therefore the prophecy mustn’t be from the Lord, when what is needed is for them to humble themselves and ask God for peace if the prophecy is from God.  When God gives you a sense of no peace, it will be different to when it is not of God.

Once you have been through all your motives, and if you are true to God you will know whether the peace you have is from God or whether the peace you don’t have is from God.

Test 4: Confirmation

Is this something other prophets are prophesying that God is speaking to you ?

For example - prophecies about world situations: many prophets in this time are prophesying the same prophecies about economic disasters, wars etc.  On a personal level, God will speak to you through the Holy Spirit, through scripture and also through other Christians.  God does not always have to confirm prophecy, as the Lord has spoken everything you need to know through scripture – the problem is when the saints do not listen to scripture.

Therefore a prophet can prophesy anything to you, that you have not necessarily been prepared for by the Lord already (although scripture prepares you for all things!)

Saying “God hasn’t spoken to me, therefore I reject the prophecy” is a great error.

God can speak in any way, or any time, or by any means He wishes, whether the Christian is prepared or not.

Test 5:  What is the fruit of prophecy?

Does the prophecy inspire you whether through the fear of God, or through the love of God, to be holy, to walk in love, to seek God at a deeper level, to evangelize, to walk in mercy etc..?

Walking in the prophetic will mean that your whole mindset, understanding, reasoning must be changed to be brought into alignment with the Word of God.  This will result in power and Gods authority over your life.

Old Testament Prophecy

The Old Testament prophetic ministry is still Gods calling for the church today.

The Old Testament prophets were not afraid to walk in Gods power to rebuke, to work miracles, they heard from God 100% accurately, they weren’t taught that God works through imperfect vessels, therefore they could never be 100% accurate, this would have been an absurd teaching to them!

One of the most damaging teachings in the church today is to teach believers not to seek for the power that was given to the servants of God in the Old Testament.  Hebrews 11 (the full chapter) makes it clear we are to walk in this power and to seek it, Daniel also writes for the end times believers:

“Those who know their God shall do great things” (Daniel 11:32)

In Revelation we see the Old Testament prophetic ministry and the power of the New Covenant with the two witnesses who bring drought, who breath fire, who kill those who oppose them, who prophesy with Gods authority in boldness and peace.

And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.  (Revelation 11:3-6)

Peter also walked in similar authority when He rebuked and killed Ananias and Saphira, and brought the power of Gods judgment against them.

About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her:

"Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?"

"Yes," she said, "that is the price."

Peter said to her:

"How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also."

At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.  (Acts 5:7-11)

Paul also walked in similar authority, and brought the full power of Gods judgment and authority to the World and to the Church (This scripture is judgment brought to the world, also see 1 Cor 5:5.)

Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind, and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun."

Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.  (Acts 13:11,12)

Many leaders teach that we are under the New Covenant so we don’t need this power anymore, but this is why the church is weak, and these leaders are (by teaching the church to be weak, disobedient and ineffective) sending many saints into the lake of fire! (Rev Chapters 2,3)

The believer must always protect themselves from arguments that sound good and reasonable and are founded on scripture but remove the believer from seeking or expecting the Lord to work in absolute power.

I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments…..

…..See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.  (2 Col 2:4,8)

The Lord is calling for a people who will remove the boundaries that have been set up by pastors, theologians and the leaders of the church by bringing sound teaching and wisdom to the saints.  This is one reason why those ministering in the prophetic need great boldness and assurance that they are hearing from God clearly.

Who God is – the power of God to release into prophecy !

Ok, so the reason for this teaching is not just to inform but to release the believer to prophesy.

This teaching is about how quickly and powerfully Christians can be released into prophecy – in a short time (days or weeks instead of months), the key difference is knowledge and application – pray everything through, and claim God releases you into prophecy – sometimes this may take days or weeks, sometimes hours, God is not limited, and this teaching is only a guideline compared to the full counsel of God.

The N.T. believer has the very power of God in their life.  This power can be fully released through prayer, meditation, seeking God and obedience!

Knowing who God is, knowing what God wants.

Knowing who God is and what God wants will release you into dimensional knowledge, and the knowledge of Gods plan for you individually.

God is omniscient (all knowing)

The Lord knows hearts, thoughts, intentions, motives at every level for every person that has ever been born, instantly.  The Lord knows the future, the Lord knows what is wise and what is isn’t wise, the Lord understands how to bring about a solution to any and every problem, and you can draw on this knowledge through intercession.

God is omnipotent (all powerful)

God has the power to deal with any and every situation and bring it into alignment with the Kingdom of God.  As Christians we can draw upon this power in prayer to move any and every mountain for Gods glory.

God is omnipresent (everywhere at once)

Because God is everywhere at once, God knows how to deal with every situation on the entire globe instantly. God has full knowledge of every situation, moment by moment and the Lord can reveal that knowledge to you so you can pray and use that knowledge for the sake of the Kingdom and also for your own blessings.

So Christians through the Holy Spirit of God have access to the very power of God.  And God waits for His people to use this power through prayer, through asking so they shall receive.  God does nothing unless His people pray (this doesn’t mean that God wont fulfill prophecy without prayer), but God does fulfill prophecy through His people praying.  A Christian must ask simply does the situation call for prayer, or does it not.  Almost all of the time it does call for prayer.  This is why we must be careful of saying “if it is Gods will, it will come to pass”  The Lord says “If My people pray, I will answer”.  The key to everything is asking so you shall receive.  The Word of God says If you don’t ask you don’t receive.

Psalm 139 contains the answer to the everything !  Draw upon this knowledge through intercession !

How to be released into prophecy:

As you pray seek to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Without prayer and persistence in prayer you cannot be released ‘fully’ into prophecy.

Old Testament Prophets:

Read about the Old Testament Prophets in the books of Kings, Chronicles etc – take note about how God worked through them, what God spoke to them, how they dealt with people, the different types of miracles they worked etc, pray for understanding about all these things. Ask God to help you, as a new testament believer, to walk in the same power they did (see James 5:13-18, Heb 11:1-38)

Strategic Guidelines, Pray for:

The anointing of intercession – Intercede !

Claim the blood of Jesus over being released into prophecy

Pray for God to tell you what to pray for

Prophetic visions, burdens, impressions, understanding, revelation, insight, knowledge

Utterances (Thus saith the Lord etc),

             Dreams, Visions, Angel visitations

             The anointing of prophecy

Pray in tongues regularly – at least ½ hour a day (seek also for interpretations)

Pray for meekness – God exalts the humble (meek)

Seek for prophecies that edify the church

Understanding about ‘why’ God speaks (this is vital – as God does not always speak for the reasons people presume)

Countries, for salvation and ask God to tell you exactly what to intercede for (thus hearing God more)

             Zeal of fire

Pray specifically – (this is a very powerful prayer tactic – these prayers God often answers quickly)

Pray unspecifically – God knows what you have need of before you ask

Wait on the Lord, meditate on what God is speaking to you

             Time, patience, power, authority

Pray for the Burden of the Lord

Listen not just to God, but for God !

             Claim the gift of prophecy

Without prayer and persistence in prayer you cannot be released ‘fully’ into prophecy. If applied correctly this wisdom shall release you in a very short time into the prophetic. Scriptural knowledge teaching (memorizing gospels) is also a very powerful tactic for being released quickly into prophecy.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.  – Col 4:2

Yet you do not have because you do not ask – James 4:2

"Ask, and God will give to you. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open for you.” – Mat 7:7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:7

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. – 1 John 5:14,15
